The Danish football club has red and white as its colours, which can also be found on the home jersey. Outdoors, they play in black and white jerseys. In addition to these colours, the club's emblem also features light blue, which forms a circle where the abbreviated name of the club, SIF, is marked, as well as the year of its foundation. This took place more than 100 years ago, in 1917 in the town of the same name, Silkeborg. The team is at home in the JYSK Park stadium, which has a capacity of 10,000 people, including 6,000 seats.
The club currently operates in the Superliagen, the Danish top competition, where it was promoted during the 2018/19 season when it was still operating one level below. Looking further back in history, it became Danish top league champion in the 1993/94 season and also won the Danish Cup in 2001.
