Scottish football team Stenhousemuir FC was founded in 1884 and has played in the second and first league in its long history. They are now at the level of the fourth tier (Scottish League Two), in which they finished second in the 1998/1999 season. They are even the only team to have played in professional Scottish competitions since the 20th century without winning a title. Their other achievements have been mainly local in nature and in similarly varied cup triumphs.
