Trapani Calcio

Their nickname is I Granata and their colours are dark red and white. These club colours are also part of the emblem as well as the home jerseys. At home they play in all red jerseys with white details on the shoulders and away in an all white jersey or alternatively an all black version. Home matches are played at the Stadio Polisportivo Provinciale, which has a capacity for 7,000 spectators. The club was founded back in 1905 in the eponymous city of Trapani in sunny Sicily and started not with football but with gymnastics and athletics.

The Italian football club currently operates in Serie B, which is the second highest football league in Italy. It fought its way here in the 2018/19 season, finishing 2nd in the third league table, Serie C. This is quite a historic achievement for the club, as it has been in the divisions and lower competitions for most of its history. It was only in the early 1990s, after declaring bankruptcy and re-establishing itself, that it started to do a bit better and moved up the league ladder.
