The Italian football club US Cremonese has existed since 1903. In its long history it has run into major financial problems, but it has never declared bankruptcy, as many other teams from the Apennine Peninsula have done. For home games they use Stadio Giovanni Zini with a capacity of over 20,000 spectators.
They are one of the teams that have also tried the first league, but the last time it happened was in the early 1990s. When US Cremonese have had some success, it has been at a lower level. Over the years, they have won titles in competitions such as Serie C, Lega Pro Prima Divisione, Serie D, Prima Categoria and the Anglo-Italian Cup.
