PSG defeated Inter Miami 4–0 at the Club World Cup and advanced to the quarterfinals

The players of Paris St. Germain dominated Inter Miami in the round of 16 at the Club World Cup, defeating them 4:0, securing their place among the top eight teams in the tournament held in the USA. The current Champions League winners will face the victor of the match between Bayern Munich and Flamengo in the quarterfinals.

In Atlanta, PSG decided the match in the first half, scoring all four goals. Neves opened the scoring in the sixth minute with a header and later, in the 39th minute, finished off a fine team move. Then, Avilés unfortunately scored an own goal, and in stoppage time, Hakimí found the net.

After the break, the favorites conserved energy, with coach Enrique making all five substitutions early. Inter Miami, which had gone unbeaten in the group stage, failed to score this time. Even Argentine star Messi couldn’t make an impact against his former team, and the host nation lost its last representative in the tournament.
