Eberl praises Bayern's resilience after comeback win over Freiburg

23.11.2025

Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl praised the character of his team after the Bundesliga match against Freiburg. The visitors from Breisgau started the game very actively and took the lead with two early goals. Bayern, however, managed to respond and eventually won convincingly 6:2.

Eberl emphasized that Freiburg's performance did not surprise him. He described them as a well-organized and physically strong opponent. He admitted that his team struggled during the opening twenty minutes but then took control and demonstrated its strength.

After falling behind by two goals from Freiburg's set pieces, Bayern came under pressure but showed great determination. The ability to come back from a two-goal deficit and win by such a margin was seen as a strong signal of the team's mental resilience.

According to Eberl, such performances boost the confidence of the entire squad and show that Bayern possesses not only quality but also the determination to fight through difficult moments. The 6:2 result was, in his view, proof that the team can quickly adapt and respond to an unfavorable course of the match.

Bayern thus confirmed its dominance in the domestic league and gained valuable momentum ahead of upcoming European fixtures. The fans at the Allianz Arena could be satisfied not only with the result but also with the players' attitude, which Eberl described as exemplary.
