Juventus has reached an agreement to sign winger Jérémie Boga from French club OGC Nice. According to Italian media, the deal will be a loan with an option for a permanent transfer valued at around five million euros. The move aims to strengthen the team’s attacking depth ahead of a demanding part of the season.
Boga, who previously played for Sassuolo and Atalanta, returns to Serie A after two years in France. In the current Ligue 1 season, he has appeared in fourteen matches, scoring two goals and providing two assists. He was mostly used as a substitute and sought more playing time.
The twenty-nine-year-old player was removed from Nice’s squad in December after he and his teammate Terem Moffi were attacked by a group of fans following a defeat to Lorient. Since then, he has not featured for the club and now gets an opportunity to restart his career in Turin.
At Juventus, Boga is expected to serve as backup for young Kenan Yildiz on the left side of the attack. Coach Luciano Spalletti intends to distribute playing time evenly among players and keep the team fresh during a busy upcoming schedule. Boga will undergo a medical examination in Turin today before signing his contract.
The return of the experienced winger to Italian football represents a valuable addition for Juventus that could bring speed and creativity into their offensive play. The club believes his familiarity with Serie A will allow him to integrate quickly into the squad and contribute in upcoming matches.
