Everton has reached an agreement with Chelsea for the loan of nineteen-year-old forward Tyrique George until the end of the season. The deal includes an option for a permanent transfer after the current campaign.
According to British media, George has been granted permission to travel for a medical examination, and the club is now awaiting official confirmation of the transaction from Everton. Reputable journalists have also reported that negotiations between the clubs have entered their final stage.
The arrival of the young Englishman aims to strengthen the team’s attack following Jack Grealish’s stress fracture in his foot, which will likely keep him out for the remainder of the season. Coach David Moyes was therefore looking for a quick replacement to expand his attacking options.
This year, George has played eleven matches for Chelsea and scored three goals. Last season under Enzo Maresca, he had a breakthrough year with twenty-six appearances and three goals in the Premier League. The England Under-21 international was close to joining Fulham last year for around twenty-two million pounds, but the transfer ultimately did not happen.
Everton supporters hope that the young player will bring speed and creativity to the team’s offensive play. If he manages to adapt to David Moyes’s system, his signing could become an important step for both the rest of this season and the club’s future.
