The traditional French football team was founded in 1913, still under the name USVA (Union Sportive de Valenciennes Anzin) and currently plays in Ligue 2, the second highest French competition. Since 2011, it has played at the Stade du Hainaut, which can accommodate twenty-five thousand spectators.
