The traditional French football team was founded in 1913, still under the name USVA (Union Sportive de Valenciennes Anzin) and currently plays in Ligue 2, the second highest French competition. Since 2011, it has played at the Stade du Hainaut, which can accommodate twenty-five thousand spectators. Four decades in the first French league, but also a final appearance in the French National Cup in 1951, the last one in history so far - these are Valenciennes FC's greatest achievements.
More about Valenciennes FCThey are nicknamed Les Monégasques or Les Rouges et Blancs (the red and white). It's not hard to guess that the club colours are red and white, which is represented both on the home jersey and in the emblem. They play at the Stade Louis II, which has a capacity of 18,523 seats. Since 2011, the owner is Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev, who lives in Monaco.
