The club is called Red Dragons and it is not hard to guess the club colours, which include red of course, but also white. The home jerseys honour these colours as well, with the away game being played in a combination of white and black. Home games are played at the Racecourse Ground, which seats 10,771 spectators. The Welsh side was founded in 1864, then under the name Wrexham Town FC. The team is therefore from the town of Wrexham in the ceremonial county of Clwyd. In 1880 it was renamed Wrexham FC and in 2006 it was re-established as Wrexham AFC after its demise.
More about Wrexham AFCTheir nickname is The Stones and their club colours are yellow and black. Outdoors they play in a combination of white and black. The original club was founded in 1897, but went bust in 1992 after the club was unable to financially manage in the Football League Fourth Division (the predecessor of the current League Two) and ceased operations there after three seasons. It should be added that they reached this fourth highest competition in English football by direct promotion from the Conference National, only the 3rd club in history.
