Rio Ave Futebol Clube, commonly known as Rio Ave FC, is a Portuguese football club based in Vila do Conde, a city in the northern part of Portugal. The club was founded on May 10, 1939, and plays its home matches at the Estádio do Rio Ave FC, also known as Estádio dos Arcos, which has a seating capacity of around 9,000 spectators.

It is one of Portugal's leading teams, but due to the dominance of Lisbon and Porto, it is not as well known outside its country. Over 10,000 spectators can watch their matches at the Estádio do Marítimo. Several Portuguese players have worn their jersey and have gone on to play for some of the world's biggest clubs.
