Outdoors, they then play in black with grey elements on the jersey and sleeve hems. The alternative colour is white. The Gaziantep Arena, which holds 35,219 spectators, is home to this Turkish club. The club was founded in 1969 and operates in the city of Gaziantep, which is not far from Syria.

There are, of course, multiple Turkish teams in this large Turkish city with whom the club has local rivalries. The club was active in the top Turkish Süper Lig in 1959-64, 2007-08, 2009-11 and started its last season in 2012. Since then it has remained in the top league.
