Their shrine is known as the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium, which holds an impressive 50,509 spectators. The club was founded back in 1907 in Istanbul by former football enthusiasts. Turkish football team Denizlispor, based in Denizli, was founded in 1966. They alternate between the first and second league. They also looked to the Europa League in 2002 where they managed to knock out though FC Lorient, Sparta Prague and Olympique Lyon before falling out in the 4th round to Portuguese club FC Porto, who eventually won the entire tournament. Their home stadium Denizli Atatürk Stadium has a capacity of over 18 000 football fans.
