Oxford United FC

The English football team Oxford United FC was founded in the famous university city in 1893 as Headington United. The change to the current name occurred in 1960. Their team colours are a combination of yellow and black. The Kassam Stadium has a capacity of over 12,000 spectators. Interestingly, Oxford was the first English team to install artificial lighting on their pitch in 1950.

The nickname of this English team is The Boro. The club colours are red and white and these are found both in the club crest and on the home jerseys, where the sleeves and shorts are red and there are subtle vertical red and white stripes on the chest and back. They are at home at the Broadhall Way stadium, which has a capacity for 7,800 people. The club was founded in the town of Stevenage in the metropolitan county of Hertfordshire. This was in 1976, under the name Stevenage Borough FC, and it was only in 2010 that the club acquired its current name.
