The Hamburger SV football team has already celebrated a century of existence, having been founded in 1919. The Hamburg club played in the first league throughout its existence until 2018, when they were relegated to the second highest competition. Until their relegation, they were the only team to have played in the first league continuously since their foundation. The German football club is nicknamed Kiezkicker or also Freibeuter der Liga (Pirates of the League), with the club colours being brown and white.
