Airbus UK Broughton Football Club, commonly known as The Wingmakers, is a Welsh association football club based in Broughton, Flintshire. Formed in 1946 as Vickers-Armstrongs, the team has gone through various name changes in line with its main sponsor and current owner, Airbus UK, a major aircraft manufacturer.
The team competes in the Cymru North, which is the second tier of the Welsh football league system, following relegation from the top-flight Cymru Premier in the 2016–17 season. Home matches are played at the Airbus UK Sports Complex, which features a sizeable capacity for spectators and modest facilities reflecting the club's community and industry roots.
The club has enjoyed success in Welsh football, with notable achievements including winning the Cymru Alliance league title multiple times and the Welsh Cup runners-up place in the 2012-13 season. While the team primarily consists of semi-professional players, they share a strong passion for the game and benefit from the support and stability provided by their affiliation with Airbus.
The Wingmakers' colors are traditionally sky blue and navy, echoing the branding of their corporate sponsorship. Despite not being one of the giants of Welsh football, Airbus UK Broughton FC has established itself as a competitive side within Wales, aspiring to return to the top echelons of the national league system and to foster local talent through their youth development program.
