The full name of the Associazione Sportiva Cittadella is an Italian football team formed in 1973 by the merger of US Cittadellense and AS Olympia. These teams had financial problems and merging them was the solution. They have not yet broken into the first league, as their maximum participation is in Serie B and therefore the second league.
The biggest achievement at this level for AS Cittadella so far is the sixth place from the 2009/2010, 2016/2017 and 2017/2018 seasons. They have a very slim collection of trophies, though the most valuable one is probably the Coppa Italia Dilettanti from the 1979/1980 edition. Their home stadium, Stadio Pier Cesare Tombolato, has a capacity of just under 8,000 spectators.
