At home, purple jerseys with white details were predominant, and away, white jerseys with purple details were predominant. The Olympisch Stadion, with a total capacity of 12 771 seats, was a shrine to this Belgian football team. The club originated in the important port city of Antwerp, where it was founded in 1920 after the merger of a pair of local teams, KFC Germinal Ekeren and K. Beerschot VAC.
