They are called The Seagulls or The Albion and the club colours are blue and white. Fans consider Crytal Palace to be the club's biggest rivals, despite being over 60 miles away across the country. The club's home stadium is the Falmer Stadium, which is known as the American Express Community Stadium for sponsorship reasons, or locally is also known as the Amex for short. Its capacity is 30,750 seats.
The club was founded in 1901 in Brighton and Hove. Of the current participants in the Premier League, the club has the fewest seasons played. In fact, in modern history, it has only entered the competition since the 2017/18 season, having finished second in the lower EFL Championship the previous season. It thus returned to the top flight after 34 long years. His previous stint in the top flight was from the late 70s and early 80s, when he spent 7 seasons there.
The club has never won the top flight. Outside of his tenure in the competition, perhaps his greatest achievement was his participation in the 1983 FA Cup final, which he did not see through to a victorious conclusion. However, among other things, it is also the winner of the 1910 FA Charity Shield, an annual match between the winner of the highest competition from the previous season and the FA Cup holder.
Then, from the club's local remit, mention can be made of a number of victories in the Sussex Senior Challenge Cup, which, as the name suggests, are football matches designed for teams from Sussex. His most recent victories here are from two consecutive seasons in 2016/17 and 2017/18. He also has two wins from another local competition, The Sussex Royal Ulster Rifles Charity Cup.
