CD Aves, officially known as Clube Desportivo das Aves, is a Portuguese football team based in the parish of Vila das Aves, Santo Tirso municipality. Historically, they have oscillated between the top two divisions of Portuguese football, with sporadic appearances in the Primeira Liga, the country's premier league.
The club was founded on November 12, 1930, and traditionally plays its home matches at the Estádio do CD Aves, which has a seating capacity for about 8,500 spectators. The team's colors are predominantly red and white, reflected in their home kit.
Although not one of the giants of Portuguese football, CD Aves secured its place in the annals of the sport by winning the 2017–18 Taça de Portugal (Portuguese Cup), which was the club's first major trophy in their history.
