They are nicknamed Numantinos or Rojillos (reds), so Cuba's colour is red and they actually play more or less in a red jersey at home and white with purple details away. Alternatively, they also use a grey-black combination. At home they are at Los Pajaritos stadium with a capacity of 8,261 seats. The Spanish club's foundation dates back to 1945 and their home town is Soria.
As far as the club's achievements are concerned, right off the bat we must definitely mention the 2008/09 season, when Numancia's players surprised big club FC Barcelona at home and beat them 1-0. It was a season when the club played in La Liga. Specifically, it appeared in the 1999/00, 2000/01, 2004/05 and 2008/09 seasons, playing there four times. However, La Liga is now a thing of the past and we currently find the club in the second highest competition, the Segunda División. However, it can be said that the club is enjoying a better period in its modern history, as historically it has often operated in the third or fourth league.
