Charlton Athletic FC is an English football club based in South East London, where it was founded in 1905. The team's traditional colours are a combination of red and white. As a home stadium Charlton uses The Valley with the ability to accommodate over 27 thousand fans. The team's main rivals are considered to be the other London clubs Crystal Palace and Millwall.
The team's greatest historical achievement is winning the FA Cup, but this happened back in 1947. Charlton Athletic FC has also presented its fans with premier league rivals, but when it has had some major successes, they have taken place in lower leagues or even less prestigious cups. So far, the last notable moment was an overall third place finish in EFL League One in the 2018/2019 season.
