Elche CF

Elche CF, or Elche Club de Fútbol, is a professional football team based in Elche, a city in the Valencian Community of Spain. Founded on September 28, 1923, the club currently competes in La Liga, the top tier of Spanish football, after achieving promotion from the Segunda División at the end of the 2019–20 season.

Elche's home fixtures are played at the Estadio Manuel Martínez Valero, which has a seating capacity of approximately 33,000 spectators. The stadium is named after a former president of the club and is known for its vast pitch and enthusiastic fans.

The team's colors are traditionally green-striped shirts with white shorts and socks, which have given them the nickname "Los Franjiverdes" (The Green-Striped Ones). Elche CF has a regional rivalry with fellow Valencian Community teams such as Hércules CF and Levante UD.

Throughout its history, Elche CF has seen varying levels of success. They have spent several seasons in La Liga but have not managed to secure any major titles at that level. Their most notable achievements include reaching the Copa del Rey final in the 1968-69 season and winning the Segunda División on multiple occasions.
