The Luxembourg football club comes from the city of Dudelange, located in the very south of the country near the French border. Founded only in 1991, it is a relatively young club. However, it was founded after the merger of three other clubs with a longer history, namely Alliance Dudelange, US Dudelange and Stade Dudelange.
They are at home at Stade Jos Nosbaum, which has a capacity of just 2,558 spectators. Their colours are red, yellow and blue, with the home jerseys being blue-black and the away jerseys then yellow with white shorts. Red was also on the jersey in the past, but currently it is only found on the emblem along with the other colours.
The club plays in Luxembourg's top domestic competition, called the Nationaldivisioun, which until 2011 was known as the BGL Ligue, after its sponsor. It is a major club in Luxembourg, having won a total of 15 championships in the top competition, and has already celebrated four straight wins from the 2015/16 season to the 2018/19 season. It has also won the Luxembourg Cup 8 times.
