FC Dinamo București

FC Dinamo București, commonly referred to as Dinamo București, is a Romanian professional football club based in Bucharest. The team was founded on May 14, 1948, and has since established itself as one of Romania's top clubs. Known for their red and white colors, Dinamo has a rich history in Romanian football, having won the Liga I, the country's premier football division, multiple times.

The club's most successful periods were during the 1970s and 1980s when they consistently challenged for domestic honours and made notable appearances in European competitions. Dinamo București is well known for its fierce rivalry with Steaua București (now FCSB), with matches between the two being referred to as the "Eternal Derby" of Romanian football.

Playing their home games at the Dinamo Stadium, which has a capacity of over 15,000 seats, the club enjoys dedicated support from their fans, known as "Peluza Nord." Despite facing various challenges in the 21st century, including financial difficulties, Dinamo București remains an iconic name in Romanian and Eastern European football, striving to return to its former glory and compete at the highest level both domestically and in European competitions.
