FC Hoverla Uzhhorod

FC Hoverla Uzhhorod was a Ukrainian professional football club based in the city of Uzhhorod, situated in the western part of the country. The club's history dates back to 1925, though it underwent several name changes and rebrandings throughout its existence.

Hoverla traditionally played their home games at the Avanhard Stadium, which is a multi-purpose venue with a capacity to host around 12,000 spectators. The team's colors were predominantly red and white.

The club competed in various tiers of Ukrainian football and experienced intermittent success over the years, including stints in the Ukrainian Premier League, the country's top division. However, the team faced financial difficulties that affected its performance and continuity. Due to these ongoing issues, FC Hoverla Uzhhorod struggled to maintain a stable presence in the top flight and frequently battled against relegation.

Despite these challenges, the club had a loyal fan base that supported the team through thick and thin. However, FC Hoverla Uzhhorod was eventually dissolved in 2016 following bankruptcy and has since ceased to exist as a professional football entity. Fans of the club cherish the memories and hope for a revival of top-tier football in Uzhhorod in the future.
