FC Karpaty Lviv

FC Karpaty Lviv is a Ukrainian football club based in the city of Lviv, founded in 1963. Known for their green and white colors, Karpaty took its name from the Carpathian Mountains which are situated in the western part of Ukraine. They play their home matches at the Ukrajina Stadium, which has a capacity to host around 28,051 spectators.

Historically, FC Karpaty Lviv has not been among the most decorated clubs in Ukraine, with their most notable success coming when they won the Ukrainian Cup in the 1998-99 season. The team has spent various seasons in the top tier of Ukrainian football, known as the Ukrainian Premier League, although they have faced relegation on several occasions.

Karpaty Lviv has been known for its youth academy, which has produced several players who have gone on to play for the Ukrainian national team and other European clubs. The team enjoys a dedicated local fan base and has a deep-rooted rivalry with other teams in the region, such as Volyn Lutsk.
