FC Tosno, also known as Futbolniy Klub Tosno, was a professional football club based in Tosno, Leningrad Oblast, Russia. The club was founded in 2013 and played its home games at the Petrovsky Stadium after the original Tosno Stadium did not meet the Russian Premier League requirements.
FC Tosno quickly ascended through the ranks of Russian football. They began in the Russian Professional Football League, the third tier of Russian football, and earned promotion to the Russian National Football League (FNL), the second division, after their inaugural season.
The club achieved its major success by winning the Russian Cup during the 2017-2018 season, which was a remarkable feat for such a young team. This victory granted them qualification for the 2018-2019 UEFA Europa League, but they never got the chance to compete on the European stage.
Despite their rapid rise and cup triumph, FC Tosno faced significant financial difficulties and administrative issues. These problems culminated in the club being dissolved shortly after their Russian Cup victory due to financial insolvency. Their time in the spotlight was brief but memorable within the Russian football community.
