Floriana FC

Floriana FC, known as The Greens, is a professional Maltese football club based in the town of Floriana, a suburb of the capital city Valletta. The club was founded in 1894, making it one of the oldest football clubs in Malta. They play their home matches at the Independence Ground, which is commonly referred to as the "Floriana Ground." With a rich history and a strong local following, Floriana FC is one of the most successful football teams in Maltese football history.

Throughout its long-standing football tradition, Floriana FC has won numerous league titles and domestic cups, cementing its status as a powerhouse in Maltese football. The team's colors are traditionally green and white, reflecting their nickname, and they are well-known for their passionate supporters.

The club competes in the Maltese Premier League, the top tier of Maltese football, where they consistently challenge for top honors. Their rivalry with Valletta FC, another top Maltese club, is particularly fierce, resulting in intense derby matches that are a highlight of the Maltese football season.

As of my knowledge cutoff date in 2023, Floriana FC continues to contribute to the development of Maltese football, nurturing local talent and competing at a high level both domestically and in European competitions, when given the opportunity through qualification in league or cup performances.
