Gazélec Ajaccio

Gazélec Football Club Ajaccio, commonly referred to as Gazélec Ajaccio or simply GFC Ajaccio, is a French football club based in Ajaccio, Corsica. Founded in 1910, the club has a rich history and has spent much of its existence playing in the lower divisions of French football.

Traditionally overshadowed by their local rivals AC Ajaccio, Gazélec made headlines when they earned promotion to Ligue 1 for the first time in their history for the 2015-2016 season. Despite being one of the smallest clubs ever to compete in France's top division, they fought admirably to avoid relegation in their debut season but were eventually demoted back to Ligue 2.

Gazélec's colors are blue and red, and they play their home matches at the Stade Ange Casanova, which has a modest capacity but is known for its intimate and passionate atmosphere on matchdays.
