Kayseri Erciyesspor

Kayseri Erciyesspor was a Turkish football club based in Kayseri, Turkey. Traditionally sporting blue and white colors, the team played their home matches at the Kadir Has Stadium, which had a seating capacity for nearly 33,000 spectators. The club was founded in 1966 and went through several name changes before settling on Kayseri Erciyesspor.

Despite not being one of Turkey's most storied teams, Kayseri Erciyesspor had a fluctuating presence in the top division of Turkish football, the Süper Lig. Their most notable achievement was their promotion to the Süper Lig during the 2003-2004 season. They were known for their passionate local fan base and competitive spirit, even though they lacked the financial muscle and high-profile talent of the bigger Istanbul-based clubs.

However, due to financial difficulties and other administrative issues, Kayseri Erciyesspor faced relegations and struggled to maintain consistent performance. These challenges culminated in the dissolution of the club around 2018, when it ceased operations and was no longer part of the professional football landscape in Turkey. Before the club's dissolution, it had contributed to the promotion of football in the central Anatolian region and served as a stepping stone for some talented players and coaches.
