The Koninklijke Racing Club Genk is a leading Belgian football club whose history dates back to 1923. But in its current form it has existed since 1988, when the teams Waterschei Thor and KFC Winterslag merged. The Luminus Arena serves as their home stadium with a capacity of over 23,000 spectators.
KRC Genk supporters have already enjoyed four times the title in the first league, when it happened in the seasons 1998/1999, 2001/2002, 2010/2011 and 2018/2019. In addition, they have managed to win the Belgian Cup six times (1979/1980, 1981/1982, 1997/1998, 1999/2000, 2008/2009 and 2012/2013). And also the Belgian Super Cup in 2011 and 2019. The team has also participated in the Europa League and the most prestigious Champions League, but has yet to achieve significant success on this field.
