Leeds United FC has been in existence since 1919, serving as a replacement for the now-defunct Leeds City FC, which had been in operation since 1904. Their home stadium is Elland Road with a capacity of over 37,000. This stadium is the second largest on the English scene outside of the Premier League. And a certain interesting fact, the east stand of this stadium has the longest domed roof in Europe at 52 metres.
Leeds United FC's greatest achievements can undoubtedly be described as three English League One titles. This happened in the seasons 1968/1969, 1973/1974 and 1991/1992, plus they managed to be second in the seasons 1964/1965, 1965/1966, 1969/1970, 1970/1971 and 1971/1972. Their collection of achievements includes winning the FA Cup in 1971/1972 as well as several league titles in both the second and third division.
