They are called Virgiliani or Biancorossi (red and white). The colours of the club are of course red and white, which can also be found in the emblem. Red and white appear on both home and away jerseys, with white predominating at home and red away. In both cases, the jersey features a red and white sash respectively. At home, the team is at the Stadio Danilo Martelli, with a capacity of 14,884 spectators. The club was first founded in 1911 and is based in Mantova, Lombardy, Italy. The club has been rebuilt several times over the years after a series of bankruptcies. The last time this happened was in 2017.
After the club last regained its feet, in 2017, it entered Serie D, the 4th Italian league, which it currently still plays in. In the past, however, the club has been more successful and has even operated in the top competition, in a total of 13 seasons. The first time they managed to break into the top flight was in the 1919/20 season. However, the last time they appeared here was quite a long time ago, in the 1971/72 season.
