MSV Duisburg

They are nicknamed Die Zebras (the zebras). It is a German football club that also has a zebra in its emblem and its club colours are blue and white. The home jersey features blue horizontal stripes on a white background. Outdoors they play in a combination of blue jersey and red shorts. They play their home games at the Schauinsland-Reisen-Arena with a capacity of 31 514 spectators.

The club was founded in the formerly independent town of Meiderich under the name Meidericher SV back in 1902. In 1905, it was merged with the Viktoria Meiderich sports club and at that time the town of Meiderich also became one of the districts of Duisburg. The club has had its current name since 1967.

Interestingly, this team was one of the founding members of the Bundesliga in 1963. Until the formation of the Bundesliga, the club played in the former Oberliga, with the exception of the 1955/56 season. If we look at current events, since the 2017/18 season the team has been playing in the 2. Bundesliga.
