The Greek team is nicknamed Liodária (lions) or Erythrólefki (red and white). Thus, you will find a lion in the emblem and the club colours are of course red and white. Red is the predominant colour on the home jerseys, with the jersey itself having vertical stripes. On the away jersey, the predominant colour is white with an outline of the club crest on the chest. The home stadium is the Serres Municipal Stadium, which offers a capacity of 9 500 spectators. The club was founded in the Greek town of Serres in central Macedonia in 1963.
The club is one of the most important and well supported in the north of Greece. In the past, it has also operated in the top Greek league, with its best periods in the 1960s and 1970s. However, its last appearance there was between 1989-92. In modern history, they has been active since the 2011-12 season in the Football League, as the second highest level of professional football in Greece is currently called.
