English football team Preston North End FC has been making history since 1880. The Deepdale stadium is used for their home games and can offer a sporting spectacle to more than 23,000 spectators. Preston's club colours are white and blue.
At the time of their formation, they were a leading English club as they managed to win the premier league twice, in the 1888/1889 and 1889/1890 seasons. At the same time, they also dominated the FA Cup in the 1888/1889 season and added a second FA Cup triumph a couple of decades later (1937/1938). In recent years, Preston North End FC have been in lower competitions, mainly in League Two. And they have been waiting for more significant success for some time.
