Reading FC was founded in 1871, making it one of the oldest clubs in England. Based in the town of the same name in the English county of Berkshire, Reading play their home games at the Madejski Stadium, which boasts a capacity of over 24,000 fans. This football shrine was named after the team's former boss, Sir John Madejski.
The team's players have tried their hand at the Premier League in the past, but have failed to make it at the highest level. In recent years, they have participated in the second highest league. Probably the most notable recent achievement can be the FA Cup semi-final, which they reached in 2015.
There are a number of statistics associated with each sports team. Reading FC, for example, can boast their biggest win was 8-2 against Crystal Palace in 1946, while their biggest loss was 18-0 against Preston North End in 1894.
