SC Braga

Sporting Clube de Braga, commonly known as SC Braga, is a prominent Portuguese football club based in Braga, Portugal. Founded on January 19, 1921, the team plays in the top tier of the Portuguese football system, the Primeira Liga. Known for their red and white colors, SC Braga is often referred to as "Os Arcebispos" (The Archbishops) due to Braga's status as an archiepiscopal seat or alternatively as "Os Guerreiros do Minho" (The Minho Warriors) after the historical province in which the city of Braga is located.

SC Braga has established itself as one of the competitive teams in the Primeira Liga, pushing into the domain usually occupied by the traditional "Big Three" in Portuguese football (Sporting CP, FC Porto, and SL Benfica). While they have never won the Primeira Liga title, SC Braga has been a consistent presence in European competitions, including the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League, with a notable runner-up finish in the Europa League during the 2010-2011 season.

Their home matches are played at the Estádio Municipal de Braga, also known as "A Pedreira" (The Quarry), which is renowned for its unique architecture with one side of the stadium open to a rock face. With a capacity of around 30,000, it provides a distinctive and intimidating atmosphere for visiting teams.
