Sevilla Atlético

Sevilla Atlético Club, commonly referred to as Sevilla Atlético, is the reserve team of Sevilla FC, one of the traditional football clubs in Spain. Based in Seville, Andalusia, this team primarily serves as a stepping stone for young and upcoming talents who aim to break into the first team. Unlike their parent club which competes in La Liga, the top flight of Spanish football, Sevilla Atlético usually competes in the lower divisions.

They playing in the Primera Federación, the third tier of the Spanish football league system, but this can change with promotion or relegation. The club plays its home games at the Estadio Jesús Navas, named after the famous Sevilla FC and Spain international winger. The stadium, with a capacity of around 7,500, is located within the sports city of Sevilla FC, known as Ciudad Deportiva José Ramón Cisneros Palacios.

Sevilla Atlético is known for its solid youth development program, which has produced many players who have gone on to successful careers at both national and international levels. The team is not eligible for promotion to La Liga to prevent them from competing directly with their first team, and they also cannot participate in the Copa del Rey if Sevilla FC is involved in the competition.

As a reserve team, Sevilla Atlético places a strong emphasis on player development over immediate results, making it a critical component of Sevilla FC's long-term strategy to nurture talent from within its ranks.
