Sevilla FC

The club has been nicknamed in many ways, such as Los Hispalenses, Sevillistas, Los Nervionenses, El Grande de Andalucía and finally Los Rojiblancos (the red and white). That is why red and white are also their club colours and you can find them both in their emblem and on their jerseys. While the home jersey is mostly white, the away jersey is again practically all red. The club plays at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán, which seats 54,883.

A group of local radical fans, The Biris Norte, are attached to the club. Their name is linked to the nickname of a popular Sevilla player from the 1970s who was Alhaji Momodo Njle, nicknamed Biri Biri. It is one of the oldest radical groups in Spain. The club's main rivals are Real Betis, with whom they play the local Seville derby. There is also a rivalry with Atlético Madrid.

Milestones and club achievements

This club was founded in 1905 and is the oldest club in Seville and Andalusia. It is one of the traditional and successful clubs in the Spanish league. For the vast majority of its history it has played in the top league competition, La Liga. It has also usually moved in the top half of the table.

Sevilla's first major trophy was the Copa del Rey in the 1934/35 season. This trophy has been won by Sevilla a total of 5 times in its history, most recently in the 2009/10 season. It also won the Supercopa de España in 2007.

As for La Liga itself, although the club usually ranks high on a regular basis, the triumph has only come once so far. That was in the 1945/46 season. Fortunately, Sevilla have been able to mend their taste in European competitions recently. Here, they won the UEFA Super Cup in 2006 and have also topped the UEFA Europa League 5 times. The last time was 3 consecutive seasons in 2013/14, 2014/15 and 2015/16.
