Sheffield Wednesday FC was formed in 1867 as an offshoot of The Wednesday Cricket Club. It is one of the oldest football teams in England and the world. For their home games they use the Hillsborough Stadium, which boasts a very solid capacity of over 39,000 spectators.
The team has a successful history in the Premier League, where Sheffield Wednesday FC managed to win the title in the seasons 1902/1903, 1903/1904, 1928/1929 and 1929/1930. However, after 2000 they have not yet looked at the premier league. For example, they have won the famous FA Cup three times, been League Two champions five times, and have several other trophies from various levels of English football.
