The English team Shrewsbury Town FC was founded in 1886 and plays in the lower series. Their home ground is the New Meadow Stadium with a possible capacity of around 10,000 fans. The club colours are a combination of yellow and blue on the home jerseys and their away colours are in purple.
Shrewsbury Town FC has not yet achieved significant sporting success. The biggest trophies they have won are the Welsh Cup from 1891, 1938, 1977, 1979, 1984 and 1985. The prestigious FA Cup has twice brought them quarter finals in 1979 and 1982. And alongside that, they have had a few semi-moments in the lower English competitions.
