The Turkish football club is nicknamed Yiğidolar, and its club colours are red and white. They also have red and white jerseys with vertical stripes, which are complemented by red shorts with white details. Outdoors, then, they play mostly in black with red details. At home they are at Sivas Stadium, which has a capacity of 27,532 spectators. The club was founded in the city of Sivas in 1967 after the merger of three local clubs.
Although the club has been playing in the Süper Lig since 2005, when they finished first in the first league, which secured them promotion to the top flight. It is yet to achieve any notable success in Turkey's top competition. In one of the last seasons, 2018/19, it finished 12th in the league table.
