The football section of the Danish sports club SonderjyskE is called SonderjyskE Fodbold and was founded in 2004 as a result of the merger of TM Tønder, Sønderjyske HK, Vojens BI and IK Sønderjylland. The club colours are blue and white, and they also have their home jerseys in this combination. Outdoors, they play in black jerseys. Their stadium is Sydbank Park, which seats a total of 10 000 people. The club is based in the town of Haderslev in the south-eastern part of the Jutland peninsula.
The team currently operates in the Danish top league, which is known as the Superligaen. The last time they fought their way here was in the 2007/08 season and their best finish is from the 2015/16 season, when they finished 2nd in the top flight table. In the 2016/17 season, it also played on European soil for the first time ever.
