The SP Tre Penne football club was founded in 1956 in San Marino. Considering how small a country it is found in, it's probably not surprising that the spectator capacity of their home ground is roughly a thousand fans. They have managed to dominate the local league four times in the 2011/2012, 2012/2013, 2015/2016 and 2018/2019 seasons.
In 2013, SP Tre Penne made San Marino football history when they became the first team from this small change to win a match at international level. It was in the Champions League 1st preliminary round against Armenian side FC Shirak Gyumri, when they managed to beat them 1-0.
