This German team has red and white as its club colours. This traditional and popular colour combination is represented both in the emblem and on the home jerseys. The jerseys have red shorts and the jersey itself is white with subtle vertical red striping and other small red details. The sanctuary of this club is the Continental Arena, which holds 15,224 spectators. The club was founded in 1907 in the Bavarian town of Regensburg. Interestingly, it takes its name from the Prussian teacher Friedrich Ludwig Jahn, who was also nicknamed Turnvater Jahn, the father of gymnastics. This also suggests the original focus of the club at the time of its founding.
However, if we go back to the football section of this sports club, which today operates as a separate entity, this German team currently plays in the 2. Bundesliga, the second highest domestic competition. For most of the 20th century, the club played in the amateurs and lower divisions, but since around the turn of the millennium the results have improved and it is between the second and third leagues.
