The French team Stade Brestois 29 has its home in the city of Brest, where it was founded in 1950. It plays its home matches at the Stade Francis-Le Blé, which has a capacity of over 15,000 spectators. Which, considering it is based in a smaller city, is plenty.
This is a team that peeks into the French Ligue 1 from time to time for a couple of years. In this millennium, they did it for the first time between 2010 and 2013, and returned to the elite again in 2019. In this regard, they thrived in the 1980s, which they spent almost all of it in the first league, otherwise they had to settle for the lower competition.
Several more famous names have passed through the Stade Brestois club during its history. The biggest star in this respect can be considered Franck Ribéry, who subsequently achieved great success mainly in the jersey of the German top club Bayern Munich.
