Standard Liege is a Belgian football team that was founded in 1898 and has since become one of the most successful teams in country. They have won 10 league titles so far, and many Belgian cup victories. And they also represent their country frequently on the European stage. In 1982, they reached the final of UEFA Cup Winners' Cup. A bigger recent success in this respect is the quarter-final in the UEFA Europa League in 2010. Their home stadium, the Stade Maurice Dufrasne, can offer a sporting spectacle to more than 27,000 fans.
